Andrzej Kotwica

A graduate of the Military University of Technology, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, specializing in aeroplanes and helicopters. He completed postgraduate studies in Aviation Management at the National Defence University, Faculty of Air Force and Air Defence.

Upon graduating from the Military University of Technology, he served in the military from 1987 to 2004, holding various technical positions within the armed forces' aviation branch.

He has participated in numerous national and international courses and training programs in the field of Civil Aviation. His completions include, among others: the Aircraft Airworthiness Course, the ICAO Safety Management System (SMS) Training Course, the Training of SAFA Ramp Check Inspectors, the Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Management Course, Human Factors in Aviation, and the Standardisation Inspection of Competent Authorities Course.

He has been involved in Civil Aviation since 2004, when he joined the Civil Aviation Authority as an airworthiness inspector at the South-Western Regional Office in Wrocław. He was a member of the Maintenance Standardisation Teams (MAST) of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency, participating in standardization audits in Finland, Serbia, Moldova, and Turkey.

From 2016 to 2017, he served as the Deputy Director of the Airworthiness Department, and from 2017 to 2021, as its Director.

He is a member of the Program Council of the Certification Body at the Air Force Institute of Technology. In his free time, he is an amateur downhill skier and long-distance runner, representing the Wrocław Running Club "Piast".
